Most martial arts programs rely on striking the attacker with violent punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. Our Anti Bullying program takes a different approach. The techniques taught are defensive and utilize no strikes.

Furthermore, we talk with your children about how to act with confrontations and never to initiate physical aggression. If attacked, we offer techniques to non-violently neutralize the threat and gain control until help arrives. In our program, we teach the children how to fight fire with water so that they will be aware and confident and take responsibility.

Women Empowered Jiu-Jitsu & Fitness- This is the most powerful class a woman will take in her life. Self-defense is something you shouldn’t choose to do, it should be something you feel you have to do. You can start the program at any time, no matter your fitness level or age, and can participate regardless of previous experience. Unlike most self-defense teachings that rely heavily on strength, speed, and coordination, our Women Empowered program, taught by women, for women teaches you to use leverage, technique, and timing. Anyone regardless of age or athletic ability can use these techniques to defend themselves against larger opponents. We also have a heart-pumping fitness section in this class that will have you burning calories and getting in shape!

Beginners Open Mat- Starting to spar instantly when becoming a jiu-jitsu student can lead to injuries to yourself and other students. It takes time to learn techniques and how to use leverage over muscle and power. Beginners open mat is for our new white belts, this is a controlled “sparring” class that allows you to have the simulation of a fight without the risk of injuring yourself or others. 

Advance Open Mat- We require that you have at least 1 stripe on your white belt before being allowed to participate in this class. This is an open format freestyle type of class, consisting of just sparring for 1 hour. 

Open Gym- Open gym hours allow you to access the gym to get a workout in. There will be a workout of the day posted and you must reserve a space to use the gym beforehand. These are supervised but not coached, you are using the gym at your own risk. If you are not familiar or comfortable in using the gym properly, contact us for personal training options. 

Teen's Competition Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu- Starting at Age 12, this is an intense class for teens, we have combined it with our Ranfurly Teens Social Project, there will always be a minimum of 8 kids in the class. 

Kickboxing & Open Gym- During this hour we will have a standup combat kickboxing class going on, you will also be able to use the gym during these hours. Should you sign up for the Kickboxing class, you must stay in that class for the full hour, jumping in and out of class is not permitted. Members using the gym during these hours must be courteous of the class going on. 

Beginners Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu- This is our most fundamental classes for starting your Jiu-Jitsu Journey. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not like other martial arts in that it takes a minimum of 10 years to get your black belt, and that’s if you are training every day. The average person takes 15 years to obtain a black belt. With this being said, jiu-jitsu is a life long journey. You are committed to improving in the sport, which takes time. The fundamentals that are taught in this class will be used for the rest of your journey. We invite advanced students to take this class as well, as you are only as good as your fundamentals are. There will be no sparring in these classes, only positional sparring. 

Advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu- These classes are available to anyone with 1 stripe or above. In this class, we cover more details of advanced techniques, focus on competition training, and do more sparring. 


Private Lessons- These are one on one sessions where you, or you and another person can learn jiu-jitsu at a faster rate, you will get more details and a better understanding of each technique. Depending on your goals, Private lessons can catch you up on missed classes, prepare you for future belt exams, help you with challenging techniques, and teach you advanced material. These are a great addition to your regular training, we suggest everyone does private lessons during their BJJ Journey.
